Terms
These terms cover the vent.guru waitlist and the private beta. They’re written for businesses: by using vent.guru for your business you confirm you’re using it as a business, not as a consumer.
Who you’re dealing with
vent.guru is provided by Bert, trading as bertweb.dev, a sole trader in the UK. Contact: [email protected].
The beta
- The beta is free and invite-only. We’re still building it, so things will change, and occasionally something won’t work as it should.
- Please keep your own record of anything critical while we’re in beta. We back up nightly, but we can’t promise the service will always be available.
- We may change or end the beta. If we end it, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to export your stock.
- Before paid plans start, we’ll tell you the prices and any changes to these terms. Nothing is charged without you choosing a paid plan.
Your account and your team
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. Each person should have their own login. Each login works on two devices at a time.
- The business owner is responsible for who they invite and what permissions they give them.
- Don’t use vent.guru for anything unlawful, to store other people’s data without a good reason, or to try to break or overload it.
Your data
Your stock, locations, history and photos belong to your business. We only use them to run vent.guru for you, as set out in the privacy notice. You can export them at any time and delete your business whenever you like.
AI features
AI suggestions (from photos, receipts or what you say) can be wrong. Nothing is saved until you check and confirm it, and you’re responsible for what you confirm.
Liability
We’ll take reasonable care running vent.guru. During the free beta it’s provided as it is. We aren’t liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, lost jobs or wasted time, or for stock decisions made using the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Ending things
You can stop using vent.guru and delete your business at any time. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, telling you why where we can.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute.
